The universe with God in it exists, and Brahman is it's eternal source and cause; when atman=Brahman the bliss of advaita is experienced by the Self.
The Self is purushouttama, or the person who has lost his or her mind and his/her mental faculty is the atman that accesses the information from the memory cells of the brain to express truths being synonymous with the truth of Brahman the ultimate and perfect Entity.
A Vishista-advaitist takes part in every aspect of Creation in the vyvaharika (the material dimension) and paramarthika (the spiritual dimension) so is described as a qualified advaitist.
