Virginia Duffre and Prince Andrew seem to have had some kind of association in the United Kingdom judging by the much-publicised photograph of the couple with Ghislaine Maxwell in the background which is undeniable unless it is a forged photograph that Prince Andrew claims he does not know how it came about. Notwithstanding, there is a civil case in the United States of America brought by Virginia Duffre against Prince Andrew for alleged underage sex that she seems to be asserting was forced upon her. The law in the United States for what qualifies as under age sex is 17 while in the United Kingdom it seems to be 16. My concern is that there is an extradition treaty between the United States of America and the United Kingdom for criminal offences but the manner with which these proceedings have gone it also applies to civil proceedings. So a crime or lesser offence in the United Kingdom, and I am not going to judge on whether Prince Andrew is blameworthy of any such offence, should be tried first in a United Kingdom Court of law and a judgment made here as to whether Prince Andrew should face a United States of America Court for the civil or criminal offence. As it has turned out Prince Andrew seems to be determined to clear his name and subject himself to the United States civil court for these proceedings. Great. For the truth must come out in the open and the world should benefit from the inconsistencies in law and order between the two countries. The Royal Family in the United Kingdom have behaved impeccably too in stripping Prince Andrew of his Royal duties in my opinion and without prejudice to whether or not he is guilty in having molested Virginia Duffre in this case. That is all I will say for the present so as not to prejudice the outcome of the proceedings. Shantanu Panigrahi
